Take SLP professional development courses and earn the graduate-level semester (non-degree) credits you need for salary advancement. SpeechPathology.com has partnered with University of the Pacific, Benerd College to provide school-based SLPs with courses to meet your salary advancement and/or recertification requirements.

For each graduate-level course you register for, you choose whether to register for 1-4 credits. For each credit, you take 15 hours of CEU courses (which must be courses that you haven’t taken previously) on SpeechPathology.com.

How it works

  1. Join SpeechPathology.com (if you don’t already have an active subscription). Join or log in now.
  2. Register with University of the Pacific for the course(s) you want to take and pay your $62/credit fee to University of the Pacific.
  3. Watch for your confirmation email with the course syllabus and deadline (6 months from registration approval date). Save this email for your reference.
  4. Complete your coursework, including the exams, on SpeechPathology.com.
  5. Write a reflection report that summarizes how the course enhanced your professional development and submit it via the Course Completion Form.
  6. You’ll receive a letter grade (A-F).

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Will my school district accept credits earned from this program?

  • It depends on your school district. Some school districts require pre-approval of courses before you register. It is your responsibility to check with your school district prior to registering for a graduate-level course.

  • Which SpeechPathology.com courses count toward the graduate-level credit course requirements?

  • Each graduate-level credit course aligns with specific topics in the SpeechPathology.com course library. The syllabus for each course includes links that will direct you to SpeechPathology.com courses in the topic areas that correspond to your graduate-level course(s).

    Within those topic areas, you’ll choose individual courses that best suit your professional development and learning needs.

    SpeechPathology.com courses that you’ve completed prior to your registration/enrollment in a graduate-level credit course cannot be used toward graduate-level credit.

  • How long do I have to complete each graduate-level credit course?

  • You must complete all requirements and submit the Course Completion Form by the deadline indicated in your confirmation email (6 months from the registration approval date). Late submissions will not be accepted. If you do not submit all required materials by the deadline, you will not receive credit for this course.

  • How many credits can I earn for each graduate-level credit course?

  • Courses are offered for 1–4 credits, which you choose during registration. Your credit selection is final once registration is complete.

  • Where can I find information to get started with the graduate-level credit course?

  • All the information you need is provided in the course syllabus. You can download the syllabus for each graduate-level credit course from this page by clicking any course listing above to reveal the link. It’s also included in the confirmation email you’ll receive after registering.

  • Where do I find the graduate-level credit courses in my SpeechPathology.com Dashboard?

  • Graduate-level credit courses are offered in partnership with University of the Pacific and are not part of the SpeechPathology.com Dashboard. To complete each graduate-level credit course, you’ll select SpeechPathology.com online courses in your preferred format(s) to best suit your professional development and learning needs.

  • How can I get a transcript?

  • After you complete your coursework, you’ll receive an email notification about your grade. The email will also include instructions for how to obtain a transcript from University of the Pacific.
