This course was so refreshing to listen to. It will help me to be a more effective therapist with students on my caseload. I have shown videos that model skills that are being taught in the classroom, but when it was explained that having the students be the ones to do the videos and then to reflect and rate how well they did various skills, was truly an A-HA moment. I am excited to plan some videos and have the students be a part of the action!

I liked this course and thought it could be useful, however, I currently don't work with a lot of students with multiple disabilities (a handful). If I did and when I do, this will be a helpful resource to use. I liked how the presenter wanted us to understand that the main point of doing/using videos is because it increases their independence and gives them a broad-based, growing, learning experience. I also like how she included key features for effective intervention.

Utilizing Video models is a great way to incorporate daily living and life skills scenarios with older students. Lots of repetition can be reinforced because the videos can be watched multiple times. This is a great tool to use with self contained students and the AU population.
