Loved the content and ideas on working with this population and using videos in a variety of ways to target appropriate goals. As someone who is not too tech savvy, a quick explanation of how to put words, freeze the pain, add voice over, etc. would have been helpful instead of just a link to how to edit.

The presenter spoke with confidence and enthusiasm because she had experienced both early years using conventional therapy techniques that were not appropriate, followed by eventual success using these strategies with students. That success was even verified years later when she encountered individuals who referred to skills they were still utilizing that they had learned when they were once her students.

This course was exactly what I needed. I work with high school students virtually. Some of the students have Autism and some do not. Students do not have enough opportunities to practice functional communication skills within their school day in a structured manner. COVID-19 also seems to have dampened social communication overall; especially for students who have communication impairments. Video modeling is vital for student growth and progress.

I truly enjoyed this course because it provided me with a new perspective on teaching pragmatic language skills using video modeling for the whole class, as well as incorporating role playing scenarios. I have not worked with role play/video modeling in this fashion so it is nice to see how it can be done in a whole class setting for topics that involve life skills.
