I thought this presentation highlighted some important aspects when it comes to teaching students through video role plays, not just using video modeling but role playing using students as actors etc. I think is a great idea. I learned some new information which was helpful.

I frequently have seen the benefits of video based modeling but never really outlined concrete reasons why it has shown to be effective... this course help to show just that. The presentation was thorough and well organized on this topic. It helped to clearly state why video modeling can be considered "the picture" that represents the "1000 words" & I love how it is a very effective tool for especially those students who have multiple disabilities, especially within the realm of communication.

I prefer handwriting my notes during CEU's, so I loved how Mrs. Farnham provided simple titles on each slide and then provided her own description. This allowed me to pay better attention to her and what she was teaching than trying to write everything she said down.

I have not worked with older students or young adults in many years but this course made me want to go back and do that again incorporating these ideas for video modeling. It is a powerful, effective, exciting method. Also loved the idea of not working on specific sounds or speech issues but working on big picture issues which improve overall intelligibility like rate, volume, and willingness to repeat when not understood. Great informative course.
