The information from these courses helped me to gain greater understanding of how the play stages, developmental (fine and gross motor) stages and literacy stages all are greatly important components to understand. Understanding these better will help us to filter in the best therapy techniques that our clients will find better enjoyment in and have greater success with. My biggest take away was we need to meet our clients at their level and help them to scaffold up.

I like how you included handouts that provided case studies as well as information and strategies for implementing play based therapy. The information was especially helpful for understanding the importance of being familiar with a child's motor development and how it applies to speech, academics and play. It helped me to understand what we should be expecting from students in speech and in the classroom and how I can better collaborate with OT's and PT's in my school.
