I found the comparison and integration of syntax and executive function very interesting, specifically showing how sentence types and working on them impact a child's metacognition (e.g. the connection between syntax and making mental images and how we use them in so many ways). I loved that the instructor gave lots of examples and suggestions for how to apply these important skills to the actual tasks in therapy.

I liked that Dr. Karen was conversational in her presentation and gave examples. I always knew that syntax was needed to understand complex language, especially in textbooks. This kind of put it all together for me. I also like the resources at the end of the presentation.
