This course shared information on how screen use may be impacting the development of executive functioning skills in the early developmental period and highlighted the importance of limiting screen time to allow for engaging conversation between children and their caregivers. The data shared was from reputable sources, informative, and well-presented.

Wow! Just wow! I knew that increased screen time has negatively impacted children especially young children, birth to 4, but I had no idea it was this significant. The statistics presented in this course regarding the increased percentage of children with speech-language disorders and with disabilities post pandemic, blew my mind. This was such an informative, eye opening course.

This course was amazing. I am asking myself what happened to my approach to working with kids. I was so play based and my philosophy has always been learning through play. Post pandemic moved and started working in a different school district and play based learning was just a phrase. It was not an approach. I need to get back to this. I need to educate my preschool team. Thank you for this. looking forward to part 2.

It validated what I "feel" is occurring in our world. There were too many percentages to keep track of but the instructors inflection and engagement made the presentation entertaining. I find this topic SO interesting and vital in this "screen time" world. There are pros and cons but it is essential for our population to understand the impact screens at such an early age impact not only language, but future emotions and attitudes.

I am an EI speech pathologist. I will most definitely use the information that I learned from this one hour in my educational conversations with the parents of the toddlers that I work with. And, increase teaching them (the parents ) how to play and be "present" for their children. More than I am doing now and that is a LOT!

The data collected profoundly speaks to the effects we see daily. I look forward to Part 2.
