The course provided excellent information on the stages of motor planning and examples of how to support a child in these levels. The only reason I didn’t rate it as excellent is occasionally what the speakers were talking about did not match up to the slides (in the last 2 sections).

It expanded my SLP vision of how motor planning difficulties impact communication beyond CAS, AAC, Feeding. Because you introduced the models for motor praxis, the FEDCs, and the Intentionality Model & then returned to them in the impact, assessment and support to show how they practically applied to our work, I expect I will be better able to integrate this learning in my practice.

This course was excellent because it provided clear, practical insights into motor planning and praxis, breaking down complex concepts into manageable stages. The real-life examples and focus on both clinical strategies and family support made the content immediately applicable to therapy. I especially appreciated the emphasis on ideation, adaptation, and how to guide parents in promoting independence at home.

Watching the families engage with children and families in the videos. Would have been great to see more specific play schemas to help support ideation (e.g. what toys to use and how to use them), this is so helpful for newer therapists and veteran therapists looking for ways to change up their play-based sessions.

The dynamic style with actual case scenarios held my interest and gave great examples of how to approach play therapy with some of my motor-planning challenged students. The videos helped make an immediate connection to my therapy in some of my classrooms. It also reaffirmed my own use of support. There are some things I am doing right. loI

Plenty of content and well organized but harder to translate to home-based work. Would like more ideas for using items in the home as they had alot of specialized equipment and were in a clinic set up for OT. How can we have parents practice some of this regularly at home or in the community as the important of frequency was mentioned.

Absolutely loved that apraxia/motor planning was approached from both OT and ST perspectives. As an SLP it was very informative to see how I could be breaking down my activities into smaller steps, and allowing more opportunities and time for the child to try and figure things out for themselves (rather than jumping in to help). I liked that the development of motor planning was reviewed all the way back to infancy. The videos were excellent ways to show the skills being talked about.
