She explained how to make therapy fun and engaging for the children with the baseball format. I’m even tempted to try it first before using it in therapy, still need to get hired as an SLP-A first though. With this information, I feel confidently ready. Thank you for providing this information to us. Enjoyed your presentation.

i don’t feel like I am taking away a lot of new information or strategies from this course. I’d rather work to find ways to make therapy more individualized rather than working with big groups. We as school based SLP’s need to advocate for ways to make caseloads more realistic than always trying to accommodate our therapy to the status quo of huge caseloads in schools. I found this course very very frustrating in that regard.

I enjoyed how the instructor tied the evidence behind the best practices for making the most of treatment sessions in the school setting. Her specific examples including the data tracking tools, and intervention activities as applied to choral/unison responses were helpful, too.

I appreciate the discussion around frequency, intensity and dosage. I like the idea of choral responses and have been using this more frequently as of late. Often my students are not working on the same targets as each other but I decided that it can't hurt them to practice what the other students are focusing on in therapy.
