This course reaffirmed the practices I utilized in many therapy sessions over the years (before I retired) of using children’s books as one of my main sources of therapy tools and how much enjoyment I received out of designing target objectives to meet the goals as well as the children learning necessary skills. It served as a good refresher as well as presented inspiring ideas on how to expand on the activities when using books. Thank you for this opportunity to learn!

Explains how language therapy it’s important for academic success for students who struggle academically and the importance of addressing underlying language deficits instead of curriculum content because those skills are vital to all subjects.
