This course was great for a quick highlight of info get you thinking and point you in the direction of dynamic assessment. Rapid fast courses may not be for everyone. To pack the information into a short window, the presenter had to speak faster which may impact the retention of information being presented. It is great to supplement her more extensive course (1 hr), which I also watched first.

The presenter covered background information and implications which will be very helpful to share with my gen ed and sped staff; the information regarding on-going assessment that can be done in the gen ed setting will be instrumental in determining how best to help our students (~90% of the students in my elementary are in the low income-poverty level). I really appreciate this information! Thank you!

The instructor used the term "welfare children" during the first 10 minute presentation. Who is vetting these presenters and presentations? Who are these "welfare children"? Aren't they children whose parents need help and are receiving social services support? I almost stopped the course as a result. I am appalled by that use of language. You should edit that part or remove this presentation.

The course, Vocabulary in 30 Minutes or Less was a wonderful summary of evidence based for vocabulary, vocabulary assessment, and vocabulary instruction. As a speech pathologist, it was very informative regarding the various assessments and what is a true read of the student's vocabulary. The four levels of word knowledge were provided and how where the student affects their reading comprehension. Mrs. Neal also discussed a nine step instructional routine which is essential in instruction.
