This course gave me great refresher on traditional versus modified cycles approaches. Each kiddo is different and it's important to use strategies that best work for them. Kids learn so much from us through conversation and modeling, so making sure that it is consistent and appropriate for each individual kid is the goal for success and their future growth.

I am a bilingual SLP with 32 years experience and I appreciated the "refresher" of this module. I have been doing modified cycles for a few years and found it to be more effective and so I appreciated the validation of this approach. A few thoughts: I am not sure the learning targets were well reflected in the exam questions; there seemed to be very "picky" exam questions for a topic that covers so much theory and pedagogy.

Great information and breakdown of steps to take but could use more information on developing additional word lists that had greater complexity to compare to the basic word lists that were given. There are so many targets so possibly a longer video or separate videos addressing targets more in depth would also be helpful.

I always appreciate case studies that are incorporated in order to help facilitate learning. Discussing "John D."'s error patterns in this course was beneficial to learning which order to address error sounds and how to specifically address them. I am a visual learner so when examples like this can be included, it helps me apply the knowledge from previous discussion!

This filled in many of the gaps in my knowledge and use of the cycles approach. I am an older SLP and Barbara Hodson's work was not widely known when I was still in grad school. I have worked mainly with later elementary and middle/high school students but suddenly have had a big influx of preschoolers with SSD. Dr. Prezas' review of procedures and rationale will be so helpful in my planning more productive sessions.

Lots of great information, but it became a little overwhelming. I'd like him to include a few more case studies that take us step-by-step through the planning process, along with a series of brief lesson plans that show the progression of therapy. Also, a planning sheet would help!
