This course presented timely and current information about narrative story development and variations across cultures. The information about trauma and narritives was particularly interesting and will be useful to many as the individuals in our caseloads become more diverse and as we encounter individuals who have suffered significant trauma.

Dr. Westby's approach was open and flowed readily between what she was saying and what was on the slides -- she did not read them word-for-word, skipped some elements to stay on track with focus and timing, and had a welcoming tone of enthusiasm about the content. The video and transcribed examples were very helpful. Overall, graphs or images contributed to the content. If there had been more time, it would've been helpful to see at least one example of a direct translation of principle to practice in the form of a goal (e.g., as for an IEP).
