I appreciate sharing ideas for where to get materials. This would be very difficult to implement in my district but I can take away a few ideas. The presenter was easy to listen to and I appreciate the real-life examples.

I enjoyed learning about the mindfulness techniques and will utilize these in my daily sessions as needed. I loved how she made it a point to speak on how difficult and isolating being an SLP in the school is at times. She also brought up difficult situations such as caseload size etc. I think unbearable caseload sizes after COVID have been detrimental to many. Learning strategies to help these students who are struggling without adding to the numbers will be useful to many.

This course provided an overview of some initiatives that this SLP led in her jobs. It felt more like a case study of her own work. I appreciated the ideas for how to structure classroom lessons and different ways that SLPs can provide services but this was more of a review of things that I am already doing.

This course was excellent because it provided practical, real-world strategies that can be directly applied in educational settings. The content was clearly organized, relevant to current challenges, and offered innovative solutions like integrating social skills programs and promoting student self-advocacy. The use of real examples and collaborative ideas made the material engaging and immediately useful for professional growth.

I hate to leave poor feedback but this course did not provide high quality PD. This was a lot of story telling without a lot of content that is useful across districts. A few good ideas but overall not a lot of meaningful things to take forward. I can see it being beneficial for people in small districts with limited resources but overall these ideas seem to add more to our plate.

Excellent ideas shared discussing their initiatives for implementing social classes, classroom-based lessons etc. Utilization of graduate students when available to assist with RTI intervention programs was suggested, which apparently did have an impact in reducing referral numbers at the kindergarten/1st grade level.

I have a lot of RTI students on my caseload, and sometimes their progression is slower than I would like. The presenter recognizes the burnout SLP's are experiencing and provides some interesting ways to increase the impact of our work by reaching more students in both treatment and intervention. While I don't think any of the specific programs outlined will work for my school, I did find discussion of the general principles of collaborating with multiple stakeholders, involving students in developing and monitoring their own goals, and looking at broad needs within the school and community helpful

He is the problem with thinking outside the box.....things will never change at any level for us if we keep managing. When we have large caseloads students just don't get the therapy time they need whatever the model. Also many things mentioned would not be approved by the powers that be where I've worked. Everyone needs lower numbers. SLPs also need to advocate for themselves but know we keep managing.

The general framework of providing whole group lessons, especially all of the initiatives at the high school level were interesting to hear about. However, there was little information in the way of actually implementing them. What did the literacy lessons entail? In IL there is a SEL curriculum and social workers often provide whole group lessons and small group for at risk students. I'm unsure how to go from here for my bilingual elementary students.

Statements like, "They're not mine, they're not on my caseload" and all of this work was "in addition to therapy" sounds like this was a lot of extra work setting up programs that were experimental in nature and at the very end of an 1.5 hr presentation, we found out that several of the idea trials failed and were discontinued.

I really enjoyed all of the different ideas and suggestions this SLP made regarding how to meet students needs in different ways than just one on one therapy. I wish we could do that in schools, but unfortunately with high caseloads that just isn't possible. It was helpful to see that there are different ways we can see students that will support them and not overwhelm SLPS that have large caseloads.
