I will listen to every word Marsh Dunn-Klein ever utters! She is true expert and innovator in our field and I have learned so much from her throughout the years. It's always good to refresh on everything too, and I will definitely be taking a few new tips from this course for some of my current clients!

Amazing course, perspective, and ideas. Unfortunately, I don't work too much with feeding in early intervention, but so many of these perspectives can be applied to development in general with this population. I also love the term "sensory surprises".

I recently was assigned a child with visual impairments that is demonstrating difficulties with transition from bottle to cup. The last segment was crucial for me because using a familiar puree to teach cup drinking seems like the best way to transition the child since she has several accepted foods but demonstrates difficulty with thin liquids other than formula.

Before this course I had little information about blindness and how it effects the developmental area of feeding. This course gave me much insight into this area. Also, loved the gentle approach recommended by the presenter. Letting the child lead the way by showing us when she/he is ready for new tastes and textures. And delivering these new sensations in combination with baby approved sensations.

It was good to learn about infants/toddlers with visual deficits and what they have to go through regarding eating. The OT presented a couple strategies to help them with early feeding difficulties. I know more about swallowing with adults/geriatrics so this course was very valuable for me. I have been working with infants/toddlers the last 4 years but since OT worked with the feeding/swallowing element, ST's didn' (in state of PA - Lancaster).

Such good information on feeding strategies for those for visual impairments but also applicable to other populations and for feeding in general. Loved the idea of tastes from a straw or just putting a taste on the tip of the spoon that does not require any texture involvement. This is good for sensory feeding for kids without visual impairment as well.
