I was an evaluator at the beginning of my career and at the end. If I knew now what I didn't know then, it would have made a difference in my evaluations. Other SLPs, at the end of my time with the District, I came across other opinions that affected my judgement. I am now a retired SLP with a Bilingual Ext. Spanish; but I do want to continue working at some point. This has been a clear clarification of what I should have taken into consideration.

This was the most informative CEU I have taken. Angie did an incredible job integrating references while putting the information into clear language that was easy to understand. She also repeated and summarized information many times to ensure participant understanding. I left this 2 part series with multiple practical tools and ways to apply this information to my practice in the school setting. Incredible!

The handouts and references for tools and various instruments to use for assessments and evaluations were terrific. She provided many instruments for most areas she addressed and they were easily accessible online and free - an extra bonus. This 2 part course helped to reinforce what I typically practice in my daily work, but provided more reasoning and ways to explain the information to colleagues and parents. I loved this course!

This really was an amazing course that provided updated, current information about the limitations of standardized assessments with real world examples and solutions for conducting comprehensive, evidence based evaluations. Dynamic assessment procedures were reviewed, alternatives to standardized tests were shared, and strategies for using standardized assessments the correct way to support evaluations was highlighted. So much good quality information! I highly, highly recommend this course.
