This module has been one of the best CEUs I have ever taken. I appreciate Angie's specific, concrete examples, explanations, and caveats about tools we should be using and others that we should be using with caution. I also appreciate how she not only included the WHY, but the HOW with conducting dynamic assessments, while also providing us with FREE resources (what a gem)! The info that I have learned from this module will undoubtedly improve my skills as an evaluator.

You need a higher score option for instructor’s teaching style! Content of part 1 and 2 has my head spinning - SO useful. Seems like there’s a shift happening in lots of areas in ST - dysphagia treatment comes to mind. In this case, what we thought was best (standardized testing) maybe is for the therapist (look up the number, kinda like a cookbook), but other measures certainly are better for children and their access to skills for success. Thank you heaps, Angie. You’re terrific.

I am a huge fan and proponent of dynamic assessments. The dynamic assessment protocol handout is something that I look forward to using. All of the free resources (e.g., NLM, SLAM, SUGAR, Share and Tell, Miccio, etc) were so helpful. I am going to use these tools as part of my evaluation process. The information on processing dependent tasks was also very interesting and something that I will use moving forward.
