There was a lot of information. I liked how it was broken down into parts ie. morphological awareness - syntax etc. and was very well explained. I also liked the fact that the presenter included several treatment activity suggestions and what those looked like.

I definitely want to try the morpheme sorts with my students who are missing many morphemes and cannot remember what we have been targeting from session to session.

I appreciated the research as to why and what we should be targeting, and how to determine if we need to target it, as well as strategies for how to address it. I also appreciated the statements of evidence to share with gen ed teachers and the reminder to focus on disordered, not differences.

I liked this presentation very much! Angie Neal, M.S. CCC-SLP demonstrated the importance of this topic with enthusiasm and zeal! I work in various schools with cultural diversity, it’s important to understand the use of languages in order to better assess and serve these students. I include written language samples when assessing students which Angie pointed out the abundance of information collected from a sample. I will definitely be switching up the way I do therapy ! Thank you!

The only reason I did not rate this course as excellent is because there was so much information packed into one hour. It was a lot of information to absorb. I think for the amount of content this course could be broken up into 2 classes or be 1.5 hours, either with the instructor talking a little slower or it being worth 1.5 hours credit. I am very grateful for the transcript and slides handouts so that I can go through this information at a slower pace and reflect on all the great info.

This was an excellent course...but it could have easily been a 1.5hr or even 2hr course. This speaker is always full of information and great, applicable resources; however, in this session, the rate of presentation appeared quickened with possibly not as much time allowed to process & anchor pieces. Watching it on demand as a video helped, but it still contained a wealth of information that I believe has more value than to be "rushed". BUT, so worth the watch...just hit pause and take notes!

The reason I rated it as good is because I didn't agree with some of the answer choices in the test. For example, question #4 reads, "Which of the following statements is NOT true about Lexile levels?" It clearly states that lexile levels "...are determined by sentence length, sentence complexity, and vocabulary..." Answer choice C states "A Lexile level is determined only by sentence length and vocabulary". Therefore, there were 2 possible answers to this question.
