While there were theoretical frameworks, there was not even one example of what a "protocol" is for speech therapy and how to implement the "protocol" and "asset stacking" as an SLP in the school setting. Nor were there examples of how to target executive functioning in speech therapy. I wouldn't even know where to start. It feels like this information came from a text book unrelated to speech therapy. The connection between the framework and how to bridge the gap to implement it in speech thera

I did not find this course impactful to what I do on a daily basis. I thought presenter's terminology was vague/Ill defined and it seemed she was looking for a way to sell her own commercial product line; for example, when someone asked about a specific protocol, she went right to something that has to be purchased.

This course was excellent because it clearly connected research to practice, showing how language, executive functioning, and service delivery models intersect in real-world settings. The focus on practical tools like scalable protocols and asset stacking gave me strategies I can immediately apply with my team. I appreciated how it emphasized collaboration, long-term impact, and leadership skills that empower SLPs to drive change—even without an administrative title.

The instructor broke down the concept and a way of becoming a leader within the role (without the label). It would have been great if she had given more concrete examples of protocols that she has made and replicated so that it could be a model for the listeners. It would have been much more practical and inspiring. I understand that not everything can be spoon-fed and handed to the learner, but an example along with the concept would have driven the message home. It was a good beginner course

I truly appreciate this course and the perspective on creating systems for intervention. However, that is really bridging into the academic level of PHD expertise and few clinicians are capable of doing so effectively on a systematic level. I liked the idea of creating materials that can be presented to the team as a mini-training, and see how a couple of slides can be shared with an IEP team at a meeting. Realistically, I think only collaboration with 1-2 teachers out of caseload is possible.

She provided no real-world examples or application of therapy techniques. Didn't even give examples of ways to build a literacy program or start to collaborate with other staff members.
