The examples were detailed and helpful to conceptualize how I might use these strategies in speech therapy; however, they didn't seem practical for working in a group of students within the school system that may be working on different sounds and need various phonemic environments to facilitate success in producing the target sound. The examples seemed more relatable for individualized therapy.

I was excited that the speaker showed the correlation between phonological awareness and orthography. The research indicators and the therapeutic ideas were great! The SLP in a collaborative and/ or consultive mode with the classroom teacher, reading specialist, etc. in the school setting could be very effective with helping the student all across the curriculum. This was very inciteful!!!
