For someone going from acute care to SNF, there was not enough information for me to feel confident. I would say it is more of an overview.

In a world where everything is rush, hurry up and get it done, this a wonderful reminder that we can get it right, or skills are valuable and we need to use them to benefit/educate not only our patients, but coworkers and staff. Although a refresher for me, I think this presentation should be required especially for new grads coming into the SNF setting.

This was very insightful, practical, and helpful since all of us are not only clinicians but also historians for documenting everything at the end of the day. Thank you for showing us examples of documentation that are poor vs. best, breaking down Section K choices w/ examples, as well as helping us consider factors and specific terminology so we can best represent the services we do provide. Looking forward to hearing more from Lori regarding documentation! I wish there more webinars on these.

In addition, she mentioned several helpful checklists, however, those were not attached or provided for reference.

Essential course for any SLP providing services in the SNF setting. Up to date, best practice documentation overview including highly relevant and detailed PDPM SLP key component review which supports the SLP's relationship within the PDPM/CMS model. Highly recommend for CFs to seasoned SLPs to ensure understanding of CMS criteria for skilled service delivery and best practice documentation to strengthen Medicare A /B Traditional and Skilled Maintenance Programs. Outstanding resources!

Thank you for the myth busting! This education will allow me to advocate for and support skilled ST services when DORs and Regional Managers tell me something different in order to d/c pt services when (I strongly suspect)reimbursement for services is decreased and/or they want OT to address cognitive deficits and ST to just treat swallowing. Poor, better and best examples are also great.
