This course was excellent because it provided practical, evidence-based strategies for assessing and treating bilingual individuals with aphasia. It clearly explained recovery patterns, emphasized culturally responsive care, and highlighted the importance of individualized treatment based on language history and proficiency. The integration of CLAS standards and real-world examples made the content applicable and relevant for clinical practice.

As a bilingual SLP, I am a small subset of the SLP community that can provide therapy in more than one language. This course was great in ensuring I am staying cognizant of the needs of my bilingual patients and assessing them correctly, as well as providing the best treatment possible. Great information

I had never taken a course with this specific content area and really loved learning about the topic, as I encounter a lot of patients in my work setting that speak English as a second language or who are bilingual. I thought it was helpful to share real life examples of how to make evaluation and treatment as functional as possible for these patients.

This is an extremely important & needed discussion. I wanted to pull up a chair with the professor she is a wealth of knowledge! I would say the discussion just touched the tip of the iceberg for me. Highlighted just how MUCH MORE there is to learn about this topic. Please have more courses on this topic. I am working with families on a regular basis who are bilingual with aphasia disorders. Now I have more knowledge than before to help my patients. Thank you thank you! Worth my time & efforts.

I appreciated the content that went beyond the basics, how helpful resources were mentioned, how important considerations for both assessment and treatment were addressed, as well as good places to start in terms of effective treatment approaches for bilingual aphasia. Her coverage of treatment options was insightful and gave me good ideas I can incorporate into practice. The case study she discussed was very helpful in putting her framework into practice. Thank you

Speaker was confusing and didn't speak clearly or in an easy to understand/teachable way. I could definitely tell after the hour was up, she got more and more difficult to understand. Most of the visuals utilized were not effective in getting the message across or helpful. They were also confusing. I would recommend her to look back at the objectives to make them clear especially in the treatment section. She is knowledgeable but the way things were explained were not conducive to learning.
