The instructor used the layout of the paper to form her questions and so I learned more because I did not have to dig for the correct answers. Thank you! Very interesting topic. I feel it is very important to consider the feelings and struggles of the client in every aspect of speech therapy no matter the diagnosis.

It's a good starting point for SLPs with minimal mental health knowledge however for a more experienced SLPs in mental health, it doesn't offer too much but a good refresher. The screeners were really helpful though!

This course shed light on the personal aspects of stroke survival that so many of our patient's combat. Mental health is an area that I feel is under represented in the clinical setting in the immediate days post stroke. I assist chairing a stroke support group and one thing our members constantly talk about it how they did not know they would feel so isolated and or alone during their recovery.
