The information presented was relevant, explicit but concise. I appreciated the reminder that children start to learn to read as infants. Exposing them to print and books at an early age is crucial to their later reading success. This is information that I am going to share with parents – especially parents who are learning English. This highlights how important it is to read to your children.

I appreciated the diagnostic differences/ underlying deficits btwn. dyslexia, mixed reading disabilities, and typical development. Reading comprehension begins with listening comprehension! This was broken down excellent with an understanding of what systems we are accessing with both skills. I would definitely recommend this course and I also appreciate the research behind the statements. Thanks.
