This is Part 4 of the four-part series, Play is FUNdamental. Speech-Language Pathologists serve a critical role with regard to literacy development in children. This course will examine how stages of cognitive play correlate with a child’s ability to comprehend and create stories, and thus participate in classroom-based literacy activities. Strategies will be presented to integrate a play- and story-based approach to therapy while addressing other language targets.
