I really appreciated the speaker's range of information on the topic of Gen Z, her ability to explain in this lecture (it shows that she is a professor even if she does more interactive and less didactic instruction!), and enthusiasm/dedication to adapting teaching and/or therapy approach to capitalize on the strength of Gen Z students and clients. Thank you.

I learned that we, as instructors, need to use Gen Z students knowledge of technology to our advantage. I also learned that we need to set strict time guidelines so that students will know that we can't always respond to their texts or emails immediately. The instructor for this course taught the material in an easy, understandable manner.

This was one of the best courses that I have taken. I work with students at the undergraduate and graduate level and supervise them in clinic. Many of the examples given, I have experienced with my students especially with the demands of responding to emails quickly. I have taken advantage of learning so much technology stuff from my students. Using simulations have been a great learning tool for our students and incorporating guided discussions and group activities for them to collaborate.

It keeps us as professionals on top of the changes in learning styles and expectations so we can best support the next generation. Sticking to the "old ways" of doing things because it's familiar or comfortable isn't an effective way to support. I knew Gen Z was more technology focused than my generation so it's helpful to see in what ways they find it useful in their learning and day-to-day.
