As someone who has been pushing the use of technology and more interactive teaching (yet is constantly receiving so much resistance because it requires educators and supervisors to step into areas that are new and uncomfortable for them) the speaker made it clear this isn't about "us" as educators and supervisors, it's about the students and how we can best serve, educate, train, and coach them.

While there was definitely some useful information on understanding and supervising Gen Z, I found I disagree with some of the information provided about how Gen Z thinks, feels, and works. It seems like some of the information in this presentation was opinion rather than fact. It contradicts my own experiences with members of Gen Z. I still found this beneficial as it proves that like clients, grad students are also individuals and should be managed as such.
