The instructor shared relevant information to the aging process. Her delivery was organized. I am an SLP. I took this course for CEU’s. It piqued my interest because my mother lives with me. Although my mom is independent and alert etc, she is aging (as am I). This course opened my eyes to challenges that she may be dealing with but doesn’t voice. My patience and appreciation for my mom escalated after thus course. Thank you

As I seek better understanding my own "aging" family, these mental health issues are most important to recognize and have some general understanding of how to encourage, identify, and even proceed with assisting those individuals. I think the presenter is very knowledgeable and caring but as an older adult who is also a caregiver for a spouse with dementia, I was slightly put off by her tendency to giggle during her presentation when saying things like "older adults don't like therapy". Also I agree with her mother who dislikes the term "elderly". Let's face it 65 today is not what it was 40-50 years ago!

I'm in retirement now so I no longer practice as a Speed Pathologist. However, I keep up my license and certification just because I hope to never stop learning.I continue to read about early language and development because that is my specialty. As I've aged a little, I've become more interested in communicative changes as we age.I'm so happy, our profession crossing disciplines.
