I used this at a staff meeting with some of our school-age teachers and it sparked some great discussion regarding one teacher's frustration for getting her group of 4th and 5th grade students (all of whom have identified language-based learning disabilities) to listen to each other's stories during peer editing in order to give feedback. The practical ideas you gave, including the amended graphic organizers and the idea of Author's Chair, were especially helpful.

The use of writing labs and scaffolded supports was easy to understand and directly applicable to classroom and clinical settings.
