Great description of cluttering

I enjoyed hearing the examples and case studies that the presenter gave. This helped me connect the content to my own similar clients. I also appreciated the areas to address when a client does have atypical disfluencies. Something I will start using with my clients is the term "neutral" where the lips aren't doing anything when pausing.

I always like the use of case studies and comparisons....keeps reality in check. I also have an ASD high level young adult. He does not have atypical dysfluencies, but has great difficulty with language organization, and concentrating on main specific points as opposed to triggering conversations. Many times we have to "walk the circle|" to get the gist of the conversational topic, and what he really wants to know.

The difference and characteristics between stuttering, cluttering, and atypical disfluencies were clearly explained. The case studies showcased different types of individuals (with the aforementioned diagnoses), including those with ASD, and the best strategies (including indirect, direct, & self-advocacy) that helped them manage their disfluencies and succeed.
