I liked all of the different explanations. It was very helpful to have the pros and cons listed for different imaging. However, it would have been nice to have a diagram of some of the structures mentioned, like the Circle of Willis, to have a visual reference.

This course provided a clear and practical integration of neuroanatomy, neuroimaging, and neuroplasticity concepts, which helped me connect the clinical signs of stroke with the underlying brain structures and imaging findings. The explanations were clinically relevant and directly applicable to my work with stroke patients.

It would have been helpful if she had included pictures of the brain and neurons. She spent a good chunk of time explaining what things looked like when "a picture is worth a thousand words" and could have used the time for more of the treatment section. The information she presented during the treatment portion was great. I wish she had shared more. The purpose of the case studies was unclear to me. Best treatments would be great to include.

Best presentation of any Neuroanatomy course I have ever taken in decades. Wish it had been included in my college coursework which was poorly explained and confusing. Presenter was friendly, pleasant and demonstrated all the methodology SLPs should use to teach including respect for the audience, slower rate, repetition, examples, interesting comments, case studies, summarizing key points, broke complex info into digestible parts and integrated parts into an easy to understand whole.

Very disappointing: I presumed a 'neuroimaging' lecture would contain example images/diagrams throughout. E.g., on the 'Vascular Supply to Brain' slide, clearer to have diagrams/images of the specific bullet points? Rather we had the speaker's description of the MCA as "ears" with distracting hand gestures. On the "Neuroimaging Glossary' slide, could we not have visual examples of encephalomalacia, mass effect, midline shift, etc? Speaker's nervous laughter throughout also very distracting

Although some reviews faulted the presenter because of a lack of visuals, I didn't miss them. I thought she really gave a great overview of every aspect of stroke. She also had an empathetic and upbeat attitude. My husband had a stroke a year and a half ago (good recovery) and this was the first time I had the willingness to read anything. I'm so happy I did!

The lack of images made this course less effective in my opinion. Having an actual image of the Circle of Willis, for example, seems just plain common sense and I wonder why the presenter chose not to include it or other images such as the locations of the 3 maters, etc. Personally I find inclusion of visuals an important part of any discussion of anatomical features. Otherwise there was a lot of good information here and the handouts will be a good resource in the future.

It was helpful to think about the brain in terms of vascular territory versus regions as well as what deficits may be anticipated based on the vasculature involved. In school we focused on regions of the brain, but I often find reference to vascular territory in hospital documentation, so it was helpful to go over it.
