I am in a state of toxic stress. In addition to working as an SLP, I caretake for my husband with Parkinson's and Parkinson's Dementia, my 91 year old mother with Alzheimer's, and twice a week after school, my to granddaughters (ages 5 & 7). I have very little time for myself, but will definitely use the breathing techniques taught here to relax when I have the opportunity to sit, or when going to sleep.
