I do not like remediating /r/ and vocalic /r/, however I need to get better at using different strategies. She presented at a speed and gave great directions. I gained a lot of knowledge in a short amount of time, even though, I never thought that I could sit through 3 hours of /r/.

This course was excellent, it was time I learned new strategies for /r/. As a school-based SLP, I have plenty of those older students that have had the error for so many years that they require different strategies. I have really enjoyed working on some of these with them to find which one works best for each student.

It was a good course but unfortunately I didn't really learn any new techniques. I disagree with the answer to the first question on the exam. The question says the retracted requires that... the correct answer is supposedly all of the above. If you are eliciting the r, you want to discourage lip and jaw movement in favor of tongue movement. However, it is not required that lips and jaw not move to make the sound, as stated. You can make a retracted r with jaw closed and lips rounded.
