I constantly struggle with play therapy, juggling getting data in for MIPS, making sure I hit targets, and still maintain the play that is going on naturally. It is a juggling act, which it should be, it's just hard to be comfortable with juggling being okay. Understanding that capturing attention and forming memories are the keys with playful learning will help me provide therapy more confidently. I do believe in play therapy, as do my peers in the preschool setting. Now, to just convince my principal that sitting on the floor and doing a puzzle is part of therapy . . .
