I really loved the depth of information provided in this course. I will be taking on my first CFY as a 12-year SLP veteran and needed some courses that would be helpful when having my first mentee. This course was PERFECT

I am a 20 year veteran in the field and have supervised/mentored many clinicians, CFs, and SLPAs. I find most courses on supervision to be of limited benefit for me at this point in my career. This course was an exception. The instructor gave an excellent framework for supervision as well as many helpful resources, tools, and techniques. I love being a clinical educator and I look forward to applying the knowledge I gained in this course. Well done, Jennifer Pratt!

Ms. Pratt provided many things to ponder and implement when supervising SLPs; the information she shared regarding how to be a "Supervisor Superpower" would be applicable no matter what setting the SLP is being supervised in. I have supervised School SLPs in the past but am not doing so presently and that is the only reason I marked question number 1 as Not Applicable because this course was very good.

I really liked how the course differentiated between a supervisor and a mentor. Often times the terms are used interchangably, but I enjoy how they were defined and described very specifically. I tend to be very self-aware and reflect on interactions, so I appreciated this course guiding you through how to do this successfully and how it provided guidelines of what to do prior to even jumping into being a supervisor/mentor.

This is helpful information as I am an experienced therapist and district mentor but haven’t yet served as a CF supervisor. It helps to think of coaching and evaluating. Jennifer is clearly brilliant and extremely knowledgable about the content. The course was well organized and effectively delivered, providing an enormous amount of information about an important and very broad topic. The only reason I did not rate this as excellent is because I felt it was too focused on the graduate student : clinical supervisor dynamic, and many of the suggestions and examples may not be quite as applicable to supervision in other settings.

I can tell that the instructor is coming from a place of compassion and empathy which is refreshing. My most traumatic memories from grad school were being forced under the authority of supervisors who used the toxic traits that she referenced. Our field is unfortunately filled with these type of SLPs who never receive any consequences. This training was a great reminder for me of how to strive to be a positive influence.

I wish I could say this course was Excellent. I appreciated the references and the amount of handouts and helpful information. While the course content itself is very useful, I was disappointed by the generational stereotypes presented in the handouts and course content. Claims about Millennials and Gen Z lacking critical thinking or problem solving skills felt outdated and unhelpful. Especially with how many professionals are currently Millennials. It detracted from the great content.

Longest. Three hours. Of. My. Life. Not presenters fault - lousy internet connection, storms rolling through leading to frequent buffering, drop out, etc. This also could have veen at least two different presenations - history and looking forward/AAURE protocol. Too much info for 90-minute time frame leading to rushed and mechanical presentation, slides bearing toooooo much information that was then passed over or mentioned only in passing.....I ned a rest and a glass of wine.
