The presenter emphasized the importance of forming a partnership with the client and the caregivers in the therapy process based upon adults who have shared their experiences and of what helped them and did not help them when they were young along with explaining the guidelines based on research and clinical experiences. Her presenting style was conducive to learning. She provided an audio clip of cluttering and links for continued learning.

It provided a lot of input that isn't usually readily availible for SLPs as well as a lot of resources for families about cluttering. I also liked that maybe timing of therapy is something that should be considered. That readiness component. Often we see fluency cases, not necessarily cluttering but the kids don't think they have a problem and they don't want to come to therapy. This gives a lot of information about how to deal with that.
