This course was excellent because it combined research-based insights with practical strategies to support children's emotional well-being and resilience, especially in the context of post-pandemic challenges. The integration of mindfulness tools like R.A.I.N., storytelling techniques, and movement practices such as yoga made the content engaging and highly applicable across settings. It offered a well-rounded approach to fostering emotional growth in children.

I like they way the speaker utilized actual books in a fun-filled way to help the client try to predict the outcome of the story, (for example, "if a train ran over a banana what would happen"?) you would get a banana split. I also liked the way she used "a worry cloud," to ask the client what was in their worry cloud and how could they make it go away. I found it to be an effective way for the client to try to manage their emotions.

I find it very interesting about the negative effects of Covid restrictions on the development of children at that time. I work in Early Childhood Special Education and I think we are just reaching the tail end of children born/raised during that time. The change in children we saw during this period of time was alarming and I'm not sure can ever be undone.
