Great information, but the fact that the instructor used a schwa was so distracting. I work very hard to have teachers remove schwas from their instruction and to see it used in a course on literacy is frustrating. The information on assessments was good, already added them to my toolbar.

I really love the courses presented by Kelly Vess. This course was amazing. So helpful. I wish I could make our school staff take this course to understand where I'm coming from when I have literacy/reading concerns. I loved the discussions of why these kids have difficulty sequencing the sounds in multisyllabic words and my colleague and I refer to it as dyslexic speech, its a frequent pattern. Thank you for the research behind it. I can't wait to take the next part!
