This course was excellent because it explained a complex and emerging topic in simple, clear language. The presenter connected neuroanatomy with real-life clinical symptoms and gave practical tools like the CCAS scale and feedback strategies. I especially valued the balance of research evidence and clinical application, which made the content both engaging and useful for practice.

I thought this was great information to understand the challenges of having an Cerebellar Cognitive Affective Syndrome. It helped me understand there will be much more going on than just movement difficulties. She gave very clear examples of what to look for when assessing CCAS. I also liked her examples of how to give appropriate feedback and also to have them rate themselves, so they know what to look for.

The presenter was clear regarding certain caveats of the subject matter, secondary to her not being an expert regarding the neurobiology and neurochemistry of the cerebellum. Certainly, there are afferent and efferent connections that serve to modulate and mediate sensory and motor components. The topic reinforced my reading in this same area and the a need for further research regarding multi-sensory processing.

As an SLP who has actually had an isolated cerebellar stroke, I feel that this CEU was awesome. The instructor was really spot on with her descriptions. I wish that I had gotten patient education on CCAS when I was in the acute stage. Also, the presenter was great in general- concise enough for you to follow the information while still providing the relevant details. And her verbal manner of presenting was easier to pay attention to than most presenters. I highly recommend this course

The presenter was experienced in working with individuals presenting deficits in this area of study and therapy, as well as in researching her topic, she delivered information in an organized fashion giving examples, visual metaphors or analogous representations of difficult-to-convey concepts...She was very professional in her communication and easy to follow in a subject of study that many in her audience knew little about. Kudos to her!!
