The discussion mainly focused on selecting a setting, which is something that SLP’s could do on their own. More valuable information would be walking through resources of where to go to find information and actually update CCC’s and licensure or if needed where to find study resources. Also, instead of recommending looking for social media forums, podcasts, and blogs for resources with the disclaimer to check quality, it would have been nice to receive a vetted list.

This course was excellent because it addressed the real challenges of returning to the SLP profession with practical, supportive, and relatable guidance. The content was encouraging, well organized, and grounded in real experiences. It provided clear strategies, reflection opportunities, and reassurance that made the transition back to practice feel achievable and empowering.

This course was excellent because it addressed the real-life challenges SLPs face when reentering the profession. It offered practical guidance, emotional support, and actionable strategies for navigating licensure, workplace dynamics, and finding one’s professional "why." The focus on personal reflection, goal-setting, and reestablishing confidence was both empowering and motivating for clinicians returning to the field.

Good course. The presenter delineated all the settings in which we have the opportunity to work. She outlined many of the factors that could play a role in our success and satisfaction in each of those settings. She didn't really provide information about what has changed significantly in the field, but she did provide resources where such materials could be located.

I had hoped she would go more into having confidence of going back to work after being away for years, what's specifically changed over the years, etc., but she didn't. She did do a good job of helping us match the different work settings to what we're looking for individually in a job.

I think I needed more insight as to where to look for more support for each setting. Right now, SLP's are in such need, that when they arrive at a new setting, the other SLP you may be practicing with, doesn't have time other than her lunch break to document, let alone the time to assist you in acclimating to the new setting and paperwork.

Very insightful. Discussion of thoughts and concerns about current status in the SLP work force, stressors that lead to potentially changing work status/setting, as well as the challenges that may be faced as a returning SLP when breaks in direct therapy services occur proved to be relevant and relatable to the current climate. Recommendations for providing ideas for potential setting based on needs were helpful.

This course did not seem to cover the topic of aiding SLPs with the challenges of rejoining the workforce. The focus seemed to be on figuring out the best setting to work in if you return to the workforce. The title and description should be changed to reflect this. The presenter was engaging and easy to listen to, she has a great teaching style, but the content was not helpful to me, in the position of returning to the field after an 8 year hiatus to care for my kids, when I expected it to be.

As a newer SLP who is on a short break from working following extreme burnout and who is nervous about returning soon, it was nice to hear from a seasoned SLP the same struggles I currently share and how she re-worked her passion and discovered new drive for the field. I enjoyed her case studies and hearing the interactive comments from live viewers.

As I reenter the field as a SLPA, I have slightly different considerations but appreciated this advice. Finding a situation that works for you in order to get a fresh start is a good idea, and there were many tips on how to match a setting for yourself. I would've liked some more specific resources, for example particular Facebook groups or particular CEU resources beyond this one. I understand that going too specific will age the course over time. What I found most helpful were the examples.

I am one of those who wish to return to the field after a seven-year career break. Today’s talk gave me a sense of comfort in realizing that I am not alone in this situation, and it also motivated me to more actively explore possible paths back. Although returning after such a long break will not be easy, I believe I should seek out a path and take on the challenge. In that sense, I am grateful for this talk.
