I took this course to use in the classroom setting for my MOID students at the junior high where I work. I also have a young granddaughter with autism. I have told my daughter about these modified ways of playing the games and I'm excited to find out if she plays them with her daughter or not. They love to play games in their family.

I love that she discussed simple games that can be utilized in either a group setting or one to one. Many times we as therapists think the game has to be extremely fun and engaging when it can be modified and be just as fun for the individual and get them engaged.

I love this course! When I was an SLP for an ASD unit I would engage my littles in play with students in the mainstream portion of the school during school wide activities. Mostly because the mainstream students were always curious and trying to engage my guys on the playground. I remember being called into the principal's office at the time (7 years ago), to explain why I was only playing and not "working" (PreK through 3rd grade). Eye roll to heaven. Thanks for being a kindred spirit. :)
