Well prepared topic with a good balance of theory, research, application, and real examples. To take the presentation to the next level, the presenters could incorporate trauma-informed practices into their meditation examples (e.g. using invitational language, not telling people to close their eyes, etc.).

Very evidence based, as it was supported by research. Also, love that the presenters are creating their own theory about the impact of mindfulness as it relates to therapeutic presence. The speakers were vulnerable in their sharing- very refreshing.

Most of this course was done well. For the most part, they focused on evidence-based practice. I did not appreciate the unscientific, extremely problematic commentary on food allergies. There were so many incorrect, misleading and likely harmful ideas presented about testing and management, particularly if talking about iGe-mediated food allergies which can cause anaphylaxis. If discussing food sensitivities, still problematic, but you should be clear that is what you mean.

In my thirty years of practice, I have to say that I have a lot of compassion and empathy for my patients and families. I am so happy to see this topic for us to practice and use when we see our clients as well as our loved ones! Our therapy isn't always the "drill and kill" but also reaching into our clients' hearts and making sure that they are okay too!
