This is the best coruse I have ever taken on speechpathology.com.He provided great insights, and I feel like his level of instruction was at the perfect level. It was not entry level information we might have covered in a psych pre-req in college, and it was not over my head. It was insightful, actionable, and specific.

Since I am working mainly with persons who have Parkinson's Disease, using LSVT LOUD and SPEAK OUT and people who use augmentative communication devices and have cerebral palsy there is a huge component of counseling to my therapy, especially to the families and in the cases of individuals using devices to the group home staff. This course has given me confidence and the boundaries that I needed to have restated that even when families ask, it is not my personal opinion that they need to hear.

I really liked the format of the course, with the questions and then followed up by the answers. There was so much information presented but it was targeted for our profession which I really appreciate. We work with people everyday who have just suffered life altering events, and in my experience there are very few professionals available to help these people and the burden does fall on us. This course did an excellent job in presenting some specific approaches for slp's to consider.
