Happy New Year!

2015 is shaping up to be an amazing year at SpeechPathology.com.  I am excited to share with you some of the great events we have planned for the year.

Weekly Webinars

We kicked off 2015 with a sell-out audience for our first webinar, A Sensory Approach to Dysphagia Treatment: After the Cranial Nerve Exam, an excellent follow up to Tiffani Wallace's previous webinar, Cranial Nerves and Dysphagia: Making the Connection. Be sure to check out these outstanding dysphagia courses!

In an effort to meet the diverse learning needs of our members, changes have been made to the weekly webinar schedule.  Live webinars will be held every Thursday starting at 12:00 pm Eastern (11:00 am Central/10:00 am Mountain/9:00 am Pacific) and the last Monday of the month starting at 3:00 pm Eastern (2:00 pm Central/1:00 pm Mountain/12:00 pm Pacific).  In addition to our regular weekly schedule, be on the lookout for an occasional Tuesday morning webinar or mid-afternoon webinar on Wednesdays or Thursdays.  I hope that you are pleased with the changes!

Also at the request of many of our members, we will offer 1.5 and 2 hour webinars in addition to our 1 hour events.  Below are a few of the upcoming webinars that will be 1.5 and 2 hours:

Seminar Series

We have multiple seminar series in store for 2015.  One of these series is sure to meet your professional development needs:

  • Summer Stuttering Series:  a week-long conference that will get us “back to the basics” of stuttering treatment.
  • Vanderbilt SLP Journal Club:  quarterly, advanced-level courses exploring the latest research in the field and its relevance to clinical practice.
  • Rush University Series:  a month-long series focusing on the diagnosis and treatment of complex cases in speech-language pathology.
  • Annual Nancy McKinley Lecture Series:  our week-long virtual conference dedicated to the legacy of Nancy McKinley, an expert in child language disorders.
  • Fall Phonology Series:  a month-long “back to the basics” series of assessment and treatment of phonology disorders.

Social Media

Our goal for 2015 is to continue to stay connected with you through Facebook and Twitter by sharing the latest news and information related to all areas of the profession.

I look forward to the start of a new year and sharing it with all of you.

Happy New Year!
