Speech & Language Pathologist - Skilled - (SLP)

Pay Rate: $1677.00 - $1744.00
Join a 13-week travel Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) assignment in Laurens, SC, with 8-hour day shifts in a skilled nursing facility. Laurens is a charming city known for its historic sites, friendly community, and beautiful parks, making it a great place to live and work.
As an SLP, you will evaluate patients' speech, language, and swallowing abilities to identify areas of difficulty and develop individualized treatment plans. You will design and implement therapy programs to help patients improve communication skills, teach techniques to enhance speech and language, and work with patients to strengthen swallowing abilities or use compensatory strategies. Consulting with staff and family members to provide recommendations for patient support, documenting progress, adjusting treatment as needed, and participating in multidisciplinary meetings to ensure coordinated care for residents are key responsibilities. Staying current with advancements in speech-language pathology is also an important part of the role.
To qualify, you should have the appropriate licensure and certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist. Experience in diagnosing and treating speech, language, and swallowing disorders, as well as strong communication and collaboration skills, are recommended.
