Easterseals Central Alabama is hiring a Director of Speech Therapy to lead our outpatient clinic team. This is a leadership role in a laid-back, supportive environment where strong communication, teamwork, and quality care come first. Our caseload is primarily children, with an opportunity to serve some adults as needed.

Key responsibilities
Provide day-to-day leadership for the Speech Therapy Department in the outpatient clinic
Supervise, mentor, and support a team of four therapists to promote consistency and quality
Ensure excellent clinical care, documentation, and service coordination
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and leadership to strengthen programs and clinic systems
Support staff growth and encourage specialty development (AAC, feeding/communication supports, etc.)
Maintain a positive, respectful, team-centered work environment
Required licensure & credentials
Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology (or related field as applicable)
Current Alabama Speech-Language Pathology license
ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
Ability to meet all clinic/employer requirements (background screening, documentation standards, etc.)
Preferred qualifications (nice to have)
Prior supervisory/leadership experience (or strong readiness to step into leadership)
Pediatric outpatient experience
Interest/experience with AAC, feeding, neurodevelopmental supports, or innovative therapy models
Comfort collaborating across programs and disciplines
