I really appreciate the information that added to what I have already, it made me think a little deeper and more fully realize the behavioral aspect of voice evaluation and treatment. Voice truly makes us who we are in communication and that was stated very well.

I am not an SLP in a medical field, so it was a bit over my head, however it was a good review for me as I have a referral for a 5 year old student with nodules and speech therapy in the schools was recommended.

Important information for any speech pathologist evaluating a voice disorder. Good explanations of many terms and their abbreviations. The speaker presented technical information in a conversational style that was easy to listen to and absorb. I can't wait to take Lauren Fey's next course on doing voice therapy.

Working with voice patients in a private practice and have minimal voice patients, when I do get them it's nice to have the education and overview I wouldn't necessarily get working independently from the ENT. I feel more equipped with what I should be offering my patients and steering SLP's in the direction for treatment. The outcomes they may in in their clinic was also helpful and looking forward to Part 2.

Lauren Fay is an exceptional presenter! I previously took her courses on Chronic Cough, both Evaluation and Management. I learned so much from those courses and was motivated to try additional classes with Lauren. Again, I enjoyed Lauren's style of teaching and learned a wealth of practical information for voice evaluations. I can't wait to take Lauren's follow-up course, Demystifying Voice Therapy!

This was great course. I do not get a lot of voice clients in the school. This was very helpful to hear what the SLP in a clinic would look for and all of the questions she would ask. It was also helpful to hear what procedures would be standard at a clinic to observe the vocal cords to determine what is happening inside the larynx. It is also helpful to see what I might find on the clinic notes/report.

Lauren presented great information about voice evaluation, combining lots of ways to learn about the client's voice through informal means and combining this with formal testing/ medical information to determine best treatments. Appreciated the focus on the client's own feelings and goals. If he/she is satisfied with current voice, even after the therapist's explanation, then putting them through therapy would not beneficial.

Lauren’s presentation was both clear and concise, effectively conveying her expertise and passion for the subject matter. I took my Voice and Resonance course last semester as part of my first graduate school term, but I wasn’t confident about how to do an evaluation. After watching this webinar, I feel a lot more confident and excited to get started. I know it’ll take some practice, but now I have a better understanding of both the process and the rationale behind it. Great webinar!

she gives a very clear overview of the specific elements that go into assessment of behavioral voice evals and details of each element, she touches on each area, it's a lot of information but she manages to put it all in for a picture, it's a broad subject and we can't be trained to be experts in a 1 hour video but it's a good basic view of the process

Because the instructor is excellent. I took this because I have a student who sounds raspy and loud. But I feel inefficient in the area of voice. I had to remind myself that the excellent instructor has experience almost daily. I still disagree with the answer on the exam about the grandma and the college student. Then again, I feel that cardiovascular exams should be automatic for everyone in spite of lack of symptoms.

Very great course. Content was very accessible and communicated clearly, which is not always the case in voice disorders.
