- After this course, participants will be able to identify and define deficits in individuals related to cognitive, swallowing, language, and motor speech.
- After this course, participants will be able to generate treatment goals to plan functional inpatient and outpatient therapy treatment sessions when working with adults.
- After this course, participants will be able to list at least 3-4 assessment and treatment tasks to utilize when targeting speech and language goals in the inpatient rehabilitation setting.

Alexandra Strouss is an inpatient Speech-Language Pathologist at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, CA. She is a graduate of master’s program at Seton Hall University in West Orange, New Jersey. She has four years experience as an inpatient speech therapist in complex medical settings. Her primary focus has been the assessment and treatment of dysphagia. She was an ASHA presenter in 2013.
