I've been working in the acute care setting for 10 years now and new information was presented. I was shocked to see how unreliable SLPs are at determining nectar vs honey thick liquids. Eye opening! I was also amazed to see that applesauce can be a different consistency based on the brand. I will definitely be using this information in patient interaction. I'm looking forward to research updates on naturally thick liquids.
