I learn best with many different methods: visual, verbal, auditory. The presenter provided all of that and was well versed and passionate about the topic. Giving examples in between the lecture was very helpful and appreciated. One part I would comment on is she asked us to read something (a slide) then immediately took it off.

I have always been interested in this topic. The co-regulation activities were helpful and gave alternate ways to interact with the child. It was a good reminder that children with behavioral challenges lack important thinking skills. In order to diffuse a potential explosive situation it is always wise to de-escalate

I appreciated that the topic of medication was discussed, as I also agree that it is not always the solution to a problem. Additionally, I valued the point made about how different settings can impact a child's behavior specifically, how a child may act differently in a whole group classroom setting compared to a smaller group environment. I have personally observed this dynamic within the school system.
