This course provided an insight on what factors into qualifying in the schools. It is important to understand that yes we have rising numbers but we need to take into consideration the evidence behind qualifying students for services.

Feeling supported and understood that we are so short staffed due to failure to attract, train, and retain, new staff. Feeling validated that we are are doing much more than we did as a profession now, than we did 35 years ago, that number of students does not truly reflect workload, and that to continue to provide the high quality of care that I would like to and feel students deserve, is not possible unless I work a gazillion overtime, unpaid hours, in my low income, public school system.
