This Research Watch Report focuses on some of the most current research in the areas of assessment of and intervention for dysphagia in adults. Four systematic reviews/meta-analyses are summarized and potential clinical applications of the evidence are discussed.

April Garrity, PhD, CCC-SLP
April Garrity, PhD, CCC-SLP is associate professor of communication sciences and disorders in the Department of Rehabilitation Sciences at Georgia Southern University’s Armstrong Campus. Her teaching and research interests include language acquisition and impairment across the lifespan and clinical populations, linguistic variation, and the effects of various pedagogical approaches on learning. She also maintains an active clinical practice with adults.
Caroline Braun is a second-year graduate student in speech-language pathology at Georgia Southern University's Armstrong Campus in Savannah, Georgia. As a former ABA therapist, her professional interests include early intervention, AAC evaluation and intervention, and serving individuals with ASD. She is looking forward to completing her master's degree in May 2019 and starting her clinical fellowship in the school setting.
