Explanation of mind-body connection and examples of how to respond to body signals to try to return to the ventral vagal nerve- adult trauma survivors need to understand the source of their internal states and have agency in their healing, not endure victim blaming and guilt - as she said - CBT does not work for trauma. Too many people don't look at the "whys" behind communication/behavior and instead just tell survivors to "think positive" - as a survivor of complex trauma this isolates me more

Understanding how our bodies and other's react to the environment (internal or external) helps me to have more compassion and understanding for myself and others. The presenter gave a lot of encouraging tips on how to manage stress when you're experiencing fight or flight/freeze which I find very helpful to use on myself or on/with my clients. Very informative.

I have a child with Radical Attachment Disorder and this continuing education would be so beneficial for all members of his team. Also, several of my own students on my caseload are diagnosed with PDA or ODD, which tends to be a trigger response due to a loss of autonomy or misinterpretation of social cues. Those are cooccuring diagnosis with a lot of our students. Thank you for sharing this information for those students as well.
