Heidi Miller, MS, CCC-SLP, COM, a speech-language pathologist and Certified Orofacial Myologist, has been a practicing clinician for over 20 years. Though Heidi has worked in a multitude of settings, including private clinics, hospitals and schools, she found her home in her own practice, HMS & Associates located in both Florham Park & Hillsdale, New Jersey. Heidi enjoys treating a variety of speech disorders including Childhood Apraxia of Speech. However, feeding therapy has been a strong passion of hers since early in her career. Heidi's training in OMDs allows her to treat the pediatric feeding disorders population through an additional lens. Most recently, Heidi published the HMS Feeding Protocol for Expanding Repertoire of Picky Eaters and Children with ARFID. It is a guide to educate SLPs and OTs on how to effectively treat picky eaters and children with oral phase dysphagia by creating a safe environment for them to confidently learn to eat new foods. Heidi is married with three children, which helps her understand a parent’s perspective.
